The Lifeskills Centre will be built in Thanet behind the Fire Station at Westwood. The new centre will provide a community resource at the centre of the Westwood development. The energy tower, which will supply renewable energy for the centre, will be visible from the main Tesco store and beyond.
The new Centre will be a flexible dynamic space which will be available to a wide range of Kent's community groups.
The core exhibits are being designed to the needs of school groups. We are working with 'Participation By Right' and Kent Schools to ensure the centre is developed in partnership with local end users.
The Lifeskills Trust thanks one its major partners, The Kent Fire & Rescue Service, for offering us this land.
Urban Space Management are producing detailed plans to put forward to Thanet District Council Planning Department.
